Infants
Children from 6 weeks to 12 months (crawling but not walking)
This is a wonderful age of discovery! In the Infant Room, our first priority is to provide a nurturing and safe environment. We recognize that each child is an individual and we strive to accommodate his or her own personal needs and differences through physical, social, cognitive and emotional activities.

The Team gives much thought to each child's readiness to "graduate" from one class to the next. We would like to expand the "window of time" during which children move up and focus more on issues of readiness than on chronology. This especially applies to the transition between Infant and Toddler.
As the child approaches 1 year, we will assess:

Language development
Physical coordination
Ability to follow directions
Emotional security (adaptation to program)
Social Development
Dietary Needs
